Incoming Materials

Crushed Vehicles
Crushed Vehicles entering RMI must be free of batteries, cylinders, fluids, tires, bumpers, tanks, glass, and large plastic components in accordance with Legislative Decree 209/2003 and subsequent amendments.

Ferrous Materials
RMI receives a varied collection of ferrous scrap, including nets, pipes, general iron free from electronic waste, closed bodies, cans, and drums contaminated with hazardous substances.

Mixed Metals
Among the incoming waste is mixed material with metals containing iron parts and other metals such as copper, steel, brass. These wastes are sent to the production process for cleaning and separation of various types of ferrous and non-ferrous metals through shredding, enrichment, and flotation.

WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)
RMI also collects electronic waste (WEEE) such as IT and telecommunications equipment, photovoltaic panels, and household appliances. A growing market in which RMI is a leader is that of photovoltaic panels, with a recovery rate of almost 100%.
