Rottami Metalli Italia, in implementing Legislative Decree no. 24 of 10/03/2023 (which transposed the European directive 2019/1937 on whistleblowing), has implemented internal reporting channels with the provision of the appropriate submission mode indicated here, capable of ensuring the confidentiality and anonymity of the whistleblower as required by law.
Rottami Metalli Italia is at the forefront of transforming the concept of waste by treating it as a renewable resource, fully respecting environmental sustainability principles. The growing need to manage waste more consciously requires us to adopt strategies based on knowledge, prevention, and planning.
The waste emergency is the logical consequence of an erroneous growth process based on a “linear” economy model, which involves producing a good, using it, and then disposing of it. It is necessary to adopt “circular economy” models based on reuse, recycling, and recovery of materials and energy, limiting as much as possible the use of landfills.
Rottami Metalli Italia, therefore, not only follows the principles of a greener economy but also makes them a distinctive element of its corporate culture, oriented towards conserving natural resources and protecting the environment.
The Rottami Metalli Italia plant in Castelnuovo del Garda is equipped with four state-of-the-art and constantly developing processing lines:
- Shredding Line: Uses a hammer mill for the volumetric reduction of iron scrap, preparing it for reuse as a product that has ceased to be waste in steel mills.
- Enrichment Line: Screening, selection, and mechanical separation systems using magnetic induction processes for the enrichment and valorization of material from the shredding line.
- Flotation Line: Gravity separation for the recovery and selection of aluminum scrap for direct reuse in foundries or other end users.
- WEEE Treatment Line: Processing waste electrical and electronic equipment, including photovoltaic panels, to enable/promote the recovery of different commodity fractions.
