Materials

RMI controls incoming waste – crushed vehicles, iron collection, auto engines, ferrous and non-ferrous material – destined for the plant.

Before receiving each batch of material, RMI verifies its acceptability by acquiring and checking the documentation according to three phases:

  • Basic Characterization Verification: Provided by the producer before deliveries. The control consists of identifying all the characteristics of the waste (type, origin, composition, consistency, and other process characteristics) to evaluate its suitability for collection and the type of treatment it will undergo.
  • Compliance Verification: Through analytical control (homologation) where applicable in an accredited laboratory to verify that the waste conforms to its first-level characterization. Compliance verification is conducted every six months or at any significant change in the production process that generated the waste.
  • Visual and Merchandise Verification: Conducted through visual and organoleptic examinations to ensure that the incoming waste batch matches the accompanying documents. This control is performed for each waste delivery, both during weighing and unloading.

For each delivery included in the weekly waste programming, a series of checks are also carried out:

  • Authorization Compliance Check of the Carrier (registration with the Waste Management Register)
  • Verification of Accompanying Documents
  • Radiometric Control of the Material
  • Visual and Merchandise Verification of the Material on the Transport Vehicle
  • Visual Verification to Ensure the Absence of Undesirable Material During Unloading
